Lawyer, Energy, Resources and Infrastructure – Construction at Gilbert + Tobin

The role

Gilbert + Tobin is seeking a highly experienced Lawyer for its Energy, Resources and Infrastructure – Construction practice group in Perth, Australia. This senior role, requiring 20+ years of PQE, will focus on complex construction and infrastructure matters within the energy and resources sectors, working closely with Partner George Varma.

What you'll do

Advise on complex projects and transactions across the mining, oil and gas and renewable energy sectors
Support clients across the full project lifecycle - from acquisition and development through to operations and divestment
Advise developers, contractors and financiers on complex cross-border projects
Advise on project structuring
Advise on procurement
Negotiate construction and commercial contracts across large-scale developments

What we're looking for

20+ years of PQE

Experience in construction and projects

Exposure to front-end construction and commercial contracts

Strong drafting and analytical skills

Effective communication and organisational skills

Ability to work effectively with clients and across teams

Experience in mining or energy and infrastructure sectors· nice to have

A strong interest in working across mining, energy and infrastructure sectors· nice to have
