Associate/ Senior Associate - Corporate at Thomsons

The role

Thomsons is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with 4-7 years of M&A experience to join their corporate team in Brisbane. This role will focus on M&A transactions and corporate advisory work.

What you'll do

Conduct legal due diligence
Draft due diligence reports
Review contracts
Draft contracts
Provide sound, pragmatic and innovative legal advice to the firm's corporate clients

What we're looking for

4-7 years PAE

Solid experience and exposure to M&A transactions

Strong background in Corporate Advisory / Mergers & Acquisitions with a mid-market focus preferably, through experience gained in mid to top-tier firms

Solid experience with legal due diligence including drafting due diligence reports

Experience with reviewing and drafting contracts

Willingness to have a hands-on approach as a client-focused practitioner

Great relationship-building and communication skills

Willingness and ability to understand clients' commercial needs and objectives and provide solutions to achieve these

Ability to provide sound, pragmatic and innovative legal advice to the firm's corporate clients

Good contract drafting skills

Legal analysis and problem solving skills to varied situations

Excellent attention to detail

Analytical skills
