The role
Jackson McDonald is seeking a Corporate Commercial Lawyer with approximately 2 years of PQE to join their Perth team. This role focuses on M&A and will primarily support First Nations organisations and businesses in Western Australia, along with other not-for-profit clients.
What you'll do
- Advise on governance and compliance, corporate structuring, charity law, general commercial contracting, and transactions
- Assist clients with rule book and constitution reviews, development of trust deeds and policies, directors’ duties and conduct matters
- Interpret and apply the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cth)
- Negotiate, draft, review and advise on a diverse range of commercial agreements
- Act as a trusted advisor with clients including prescribed bodies corporate, Aboriginal community-controlled organisations, Aboriginal businesses, Aboriginal community benefits trusts, trustee, companies and government bodies
