The role
Baker McKenzie is seeking an Associate with 2-4 years of PQE to join their Technology, Communications and Commercial practice in Sydney. This role is for lawyers experienced in complex technology, regulatory, and commercial work, with a focus on transactional deals and advisory matters within the technology and telecommunications sectors.

What we're looking for
2-4 years' PQE gained at a top-tier or leading international law firm
2-4 years' experience in complex technology, regulatory and commercial work
Experience working within a similar large firm environment
Focus on larger, transactional deals and complex regulatory and advisory matters
Experience in drafting technology contracts and agreements
Experience providing advice on the supply and procurement of goods or services in the digital, technology, telecommunications and media sectors
Strong client service orientation
Strong technical, drafting and commercial skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and research skills
Commitment to high work standards and strong attention to detail
Ability to demonstrate initiative and proactivity
Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and to take responsibility for this relationship
Ability to work well in a team environment including across Australian offices and internationally
Relevant legal qualifications
Willingness to learn
Exposure to digital and telecommunications regulations, including privacy, online safety, cybersecurity, media and broadcasting regulation· nice to have
