The role
Piper Alderman is seeking a Senior Associate with 5+ years of experience to join their Litigation practice in Perth. This role focuses on handling a broad range of commercial disputes, including contractual matters, professional negligence, and insolvency, while developing litigation strategies and delivering client outcomes.
What you'll do
- Work across a broad range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, professional negligence matters, insolvency and restructuring issues, and regulatory proceedings
- Have carriage of matters
- Work directly with clients
- Play a key role in developing litigation strategies
- Deliver commercially focused outcomes
- Be involved in all stages of the litigation process
- Provide strategic advice prior to court proceedings being commenced
- Develop case strategy
- Manage key steps in the court timetable, including interlocutory applications through to mediations, trials and appeals

Senior Associate level experience (5+ years PAE)
Experience in commercial litigation
High attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team player with a collaborative approach
Exceptional time management skills
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
Highly proficient and experienced in performing critical analysis and solving problems
