Senior Associate - Corporate Governance, Climate & ESG - Melbourne

The role

Mallesons is seeking a Senior Associate with 5+ years of PQE to join its Corporate Governance, Climate & ESG practice in Melbourne. This role focuses on advising leading Australian companies on complex governance, climate, and regulatory issues, working directly with senior stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Advise boards and executives on corporate governance matters
• Support organisations through mandatory climate reporting requirements
• Advise on ESG governance frameworks, disclosure obligations and greenwashing
• Assist clients with shareholder engagement and stakeholder issues
• Advise on Financial Accountability Regime implementation and consequence management
• Support governance aspects of M&A transactions and strategic corporate initiatives
• Monitor and advise on emerging regulatory and policy developments affecting listed and private companies
• Advise clients on equity plan set up and ongoing administration
