The role

K&L Gates is seeking a Lawyer / Senior Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join their Insurance practice group in Melbourne, Australia. This role focuses on general liability matters and offers the opportunity to provide legal advice, conduct defence, and appear in court.

What you'll do

Provide exceptional legal advice to clients
Conduct defence as required
Assist the senior lawyers
Appear in court
Take ownership of the day to day running of files with supervision and mentoring from senior members of the team

What we're looking for

2-5 years of experience

Experience focusing on litigation

Experience working in private practice on matters relating to personal injury, general liability and WorkCover

Technical excellence

Hardworking, dedicated and possess a high level of integrity

High level of client service

Excellent organisation skills

Excellent written communication skills

Excellent oral communication skills
