The role

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking a Contentious Construction Managing Associate with 5+ PQE to join their Manchester office. This senior role will focus on leading high-value, complex contentious construction and engineering disputes for major clients, driving business development, and contributing to the growth of the Manchester practice.

What you'll do

• Lead on high-value, complex contentious matters for major national and international clients
• Drive business development
• Play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth and success of the dynamic Manchester practice
• Lead on a broad spectrum of high-value, contentious construction and engineering disputes
• Provide strategic advice to clients on a wide range of construction issues and documentation
• Lead negotiations and ensure the delivery of commercially focused solutions
• Have significant exposure in all forms of alternative dispute resolution
• Lead "without prejudice" meetings and mediations
• Advise clients at all stages of the ADR process
• Develop and implement settlement strategies
• Be a key client contact for significant clients
• Take responsibility for relationship management, client retention, and identifying opportunities for further collaboration
• Support and mentor more junior team members
• Share knowledge and initiate positive change
• Support and initiate activities to win new business and clients
• Represent the firm confidently in pitches and external presentations
• Build strong rapport with clients to foster relationships based on trust
