The role

Gateley Legal is seeking a Senior Associate with 5 PQE+ to join their Construction offering, focusing on fire and building safety issues and related disputes for clients in England and Wales. The role is available across Gateley Legal offices in Belfast, Birmingham, and Leeds, offering the opportunity to work across multiple jurisdictions and develop expertise in the local Belfast market.

What you'll do

Provide strategic support and advice to clients on fire and building safety issues
Advise clients on projects in England and Wales related to fire and building safety
Support clients with remediation procurement strategies
Represent clients in the defence and pursuit of formal legal claims
Play a leading role in fast moving, technically challenging legal areas

What we're looking for

5 PQE+

Construction litigation experience

Experience in professional negligence work

Interest and enthusiasm in the wider political issues and policies that affect clients

A forward thinking approach to innovation and legal technology

Ambition to build and grow a client network

Excellent inter-personal skills and a confident manner

A strong team work ethic

Ability to work effectively under pressure

Drive, commitment, self-motivation and a "can do" attitude

Ability to exercise discretion and professionalism
