The role

Michelmores is seeking an experienced Senior Associate for its highly regarded Construction team, focusing on non-contentious work. This role is for an ambitious lawyer with at least 5 years of PQE in Construction and Engineering practice, who will support Partners Anna Wood, Ashley Pigott, and Maria Greener, acting for public and private sector clients on high-value projects.

What you'll do

Review and advise on contract terms proposed to clients
Draft and negotiate contracts, appointments and ancillary documents
Interact with clients and their other advisors both in person and on Teams calls

What we're looking for

At least 5 years' PQE in Construction and Engineering practice

Experience advising and acting on a range of construction matters

Extensive drafting and negotiating experience across a range of contract families including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, Energy contracts including EPCs, O&Ms, Bespoke appointments and contracts and Ancillary documents (collateral warranties, bonds, PCGs etc)

Experience in construction matters that align with client and work types described

Willingness and ability to undertake contentious work

Genuine interest in promoting business development opportunities· nice to have
