Associate / Senior Associate - Canberra Construction and Real Estate at Maddocks

The role

Maddocks is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate with 4-8 years of PQE to join their Construction and Real Estate practice in Canberra. This front-end construction lawyer role focuses on contracts and procurement, advising government sector clients, major construction companies, and developers.

Advise on construction, infrastructure and development projects

What we're looking for

4-8 years PQE

Currently working as a front-end lawyer in a construction or projects team or have strong commercial/contracting and procurement experience that could be applied to the construction sector

Strong technical legal skills and a genuine interest in working in the construction and infrastructure sector

Client-focused approach with a sound understanding of commercial drivers

Exceptional contract and advice drafting skills

Ability to be an independent thinker, comfortable learning new concepts quickly

Legally permitted to work in Australia

Experience in both construction and real estate/property law· nice to have
