Associate/Senior Associate - Corporate

The role

Johnson Winter Slattery is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join their Sydney-based M&A practice. This role involves advising on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including private equity, venture capital, and corporate restructures.

What you'll do

• Advise on private and public M&A transactions, private equity investments, venture capital financings, capital raisings and corporate restructures
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including share sale and purchase agreements, investment agreements and shareholders' agreements
• Manage legal due diligence processes and prepare due diligence reports
• Coordinate specialist advisers and transaction workstreams
• Support transaction execution, including signings and completions
• Conduct legal and regulatory research and provide commercially focused advice
• Build strong client relationships while working directly with partners on significant matters
• Take increasing responsibility for managing workstreams, mentoring junior lawyers and maintaining direct client contact depending on experience
