Corporate Senior Associate at Gateley

The role

Gateley Legal is seeking a Corporate Senior Associate with 5+ years of PQE to join their M&A team in Birmingham. This role offers an opportunity to progress within a supportive team, handle a broad range of transactional matters, and potentially grow into a partner position.

What you'll do

Handle and support others on a broad range of matters including mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, exits and portfolio instructions, equity capital markets transactions, joint ventures and reorganisations
Take ownership of matters
Work closely with a partner on more complex and / or high value work
Network and build your own connections in the local corporate finance market
Strengthen our relationship with existing clients
Actively engage in new business / cross selling services within Gateley
Mentor junior members of the team

What we're looking for

5+ years PQE

Experience of a broad range of corporate matters

Experience in managing or being keen to manage transactions

Demonstrable legal technical ability

Confidence to offer commercial advice

Ability to effectively manage colleague and client relationships

Ability and willingness to learn

Commercial acumen

Good negotiation skills

Personable and dynamic personality

Drive to succeed and develop

Passion for working collaboratively
