Associate - Commercial, Intellectual Property & Technology

The role

Hall & Wilcox is seeking an experienced Associate with 4 years of PQE to join their Commercial, Intellectual Property & Technology team in Melbourne. This role focuses on advising clients on a broad range of IP, technology, M&A, and commercial law matters.

What you'll do

• Advise on a range of IP and technology related matters, such as trade mark and copyright matters
• Advise on IP commercialisation matters
• Advise on procurement contracts
• Advise on commercial contracts
• Advise on competition and consumer law matters
• Advise on broad-based commercial law matters
• Advise on trade mark matters including advice, filing and registrations, disputes/oppositions and licensing
• Advise on intellectual property commercialisation and licensing, including technology commercialisation agreements, patent licensing and plant variety licensing, joint ventures and other commercialisation structures
• Advise on disputes/litigation, including both enforcing and defending IP infringements and related actions
• Advise on privacy and competition and consumer law
• Advise on IT and technology contracts including technology procurement and project agreements, SaaS agreements, software licensing and support agreements and technology outsourcing agreements
• Drafting and negotiating transaction and other commercial contracts and documents
