The role
Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join their IP practice in Los Angeles. This role is focused on patent prosecution, opinion work, due diligence, licensing, and litigation support for life sciences clients.
What you'll do
- Draft and prosecute patent applications
- Conduct opinion work
- Perform due diligence
- Handle licensing matters
- Provide litigation support
- Counsel clients on life sciences focused projects
- Engage in U.S. and foreign patent office practice
What we're looking for
2+ years of patent prosecution experience
Experience working with life sciences clients
Excellent academic credentials
Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
An advanced degree in a biology, chemistry or a biotechnical discipline
