The role

Wedlake Bell is seeking a Banking Associate with 2-4 PQE to join their Finance practice in London. This role is for an ambitious lawyer who wants to work on a varied range of finance transactions and client matters within a supportive team environment.

What you'll do

Deliver clear and high-level legal advice on a range of banking matters
Act as the day-to-day contact for advising clients on ongoing or new matters
Develop the practice by promoting the firm and its work, both to existing and potential clients
Work on a range of finance transactions
Draft bespoke documents and agreements
Be a key client contact for updates and advice
Project-manage deals from the banking side

What we're looking for

Experience working in a leading banking practice

Demonstrable exposure to finance transactions

Experience drafting bespoke financing agreements for banks/other financial institutions

Experience reviewing finance documents when acting on the borrower side

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales

2-4 PQE

Clear and developed understanding of banking and finance law and its commercial application

Strong client relationship and business-development skills

Strong academic history

Ability to think outside the box and analyse

High level of professionalism and integrity
