Banking Associate / Senior Associate at Gateley

The role

Gateley is seeking a Banking Associate/Senior Associate with 4-7 years of PQE for their Finance practice in Birmingham. This role is for a lawyer with a strong technical and drafting background in banking transactions, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a busy national team.

What you'll do

Seek experience of a broad and varied range of banking transactions including general banking transactions, acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance and asset-based lending
Be actively involved in business development activities

What we're looking for

4-7 years post qualification experience

Qualified to practice law in England and Wales or equivalent

Previous experience working in a banking team

Strong technical and negotiation skills

Strong drafting experience including facility agreements, LMA agreements, credit agreements etc

Excellent inter-personal skills and a confident manner in engaging with clients and colleagues at all levels

A strong team work ethic and the ability to work effectively under pressure

Drive, commitment, self-motivation and a “can do” attitude

Discretion and professionalism at all times
