The role
This role is for an Associate/Senior Associate with proven PQE in corporate lending to join the M&A practice at Ashurst Perkins Coie in London. The position is initially for 6 months and involves acting on all elements of financing transactions.
What you'll do
- Act on all elements of a financing from term sheet stage, through to closing and post-closing
- Drafting and negotiation of facility agreements and intercreditor agreements
- Supervising other members of the team
- Negotiating security documents
- Liaising with local counsel on multi-jurisdictional matters
- Build client relationships with our relationship banks and key corporate clients
- Use AI solutions in your work
- Drafting of legal documents
- Advising clients
- Negotiating with counterparts and leading calls
- Coordinating completion of transactions
What we're looking for
Proven post-qualification experience in corporate lending
Strong general banking experience with a focus on corporate lending in private practice
Experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents
An adaptable ambitious person who is a fast learner
Experience practising on multi-jurisdictional matters
A team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels
Client facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs
Experience developing AI capabilities
