The role
Corrs Chambers Westgarth is seeking a Senior Associate for its Corporate, Financial Sponsors Group in Sydney. This role is for lawyers with 4+ years of experience in M&A and capital markets, who will advise premier fund management firms on high-value transactions and capital raising.
What you'll do
- Advise leading domestic and international managers on complex, high-value capital raising and fund formation transactions
- Work on some of Australia's most significant capital markets and M&A transactions for premier fund management firms
- Act for a diverse range of domestic and international fund managers on private and registered fund formation, ASX listed fund IPOs and secondary offerings, in addition to a range of strategic corporate advisory mandates
- Work closely with partner Fadi Khoury
- Work closely with the broader national Corporate team
What we're looking for
Approximately 4+ years' post-qualification experience
Experience gained at a leading Australian, international or specialist corporate, M&A, or capital markets practice
Experience in capital markets and/or capital raisings is highly regarded
Experience managing aspects of complex matters and working directly with clients
A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional client service
Strong technical capability
Commercial judgement
Intellectual curiosity
A genuine interest in corporate transactions and capital markets
