The role
Clifford Chance is seeking a junior corporate transactions attorney with 2+ PQE to join its Houston-based team. This role focuses on M&A and other corporate advisory matters, with an emphasis on the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
What you'll do
- Manage significant transaction workstreams
- Assist with transaction documents
- Assist with management of due diligence
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Provide practical, commercially focused advice to clients
What we're looking for
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar, or eligibility to waive into the Texas Bar
At least two years of law firm experience focused on corporate transactions
Significant experience advising on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, corporate restructurings, or complex commercial transactions
Ability to independently manage transaction workstreams while effectively coordinating with colleagues across multiple practice areas and jurisdictions
Strong commercial awareness and an interest in the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors
Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a practical, client-focused approach
Experience representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, multinational corporations, energy companies, or infrastructure investors· nice to have
Experience working on cross-border transactions and collaborating with international teams· nice to have

Salary range for this position is $225,000-$260,000
