Project Finance Lawyer at Burges Salmon

The role

Burges Salmon is seeking a Project Finance Lawyer with 3+ years of PQE to join its Energy & Infrastructure Finance team in Bristol, Edinburgh, or London. This role will focus on advising clients on complex financings for energy transition and infrastructure projects.

What you'll do

Play a key role on a wide range of complex and high-profile transactions, including project financings, acquisition and asset financings, refinancings of operational projects, portfolio and fund financings, and cross-border energy and infrastructure projects
Have direct exposure to clients from the outset, working closely with lenders, sponsors, investors and developers on strategic projects that support energy transition and infrastructure development in the UK and internationally
Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated solutions, whilst developing a strong understanding of the sectors and markets in which our clients operate

What we're looking for

3-6 years' PQE gained in project finance specifically

Experience acting for lenders and/or borrowers

Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills

A desire to develop a specialism in energy and infrastructure finance

Strong commercial awareness and an interest in the energy transition and/or infrastructure markets

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

A collaborative and proactive approach to working with clients and colleagues

Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales or Scotland
