Managing Associate - Banking

The role

Michelmores is seeking a Managing Associate for their Banking team in Bristol or Exeter. This role is for an ambitious and commercially astute lawyer with at least 7 years of PQE, who will lead and manage finance transactions, advise clients, and mentor junior lawyers.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage a wide variety of finance transactions, including real estate finance, acquisition finance, corporate lending, development finance, project finance and impact investment transactions
• Draft, negotiate and advise on facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, loan notes and related finance documentation
• Advise both lenders and borrowers on new lending arrangements, refinancings and restructurings
• Manage transaction workstreams
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm, including corporate, real estate and private wealth teams
• Support complex domestic and international transactions, working alongside overseas counsel where required
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Act as a trusted adviser
• Identify opportunities for further collaboration and business development
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers
• Help maintain high technical standards across the team
• Contribute to the team's strategic growth areas
