The role

Gateley is seeking a Restructuring Legal Director for its Manchester office. This senior, transactional and advisory-focused role is for an ambitious lawyer to play a key part in the growth of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice, working closely with Aneesh Prasad and other national colleagues.

What you'll do

Take a leading role on local and national restructuring mandates
Deliver high-quality transactional and corporate advisory restructuring work
Project manage multi-stakeholder work-outs and financial or operational restructurings
Advise boards, insolvency practitioners and lender-side clients
Supervise, develop and mentor the growing junior cohort
Support business development initiatives

What we're looking for

Established experience in restructuring and advisory work

Confidence and capability to act as a senior, visible member of the team

Demonstrable experience in supervising and upskilling junior colleagues

Enthusiasm for business development and the drive to help shape market presence

A clear vision for medium-term career development
