Associate/Senior Associate - Employment at Mills & Reeve

The role

Mills & Reeve is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in their top-ranked Birmingham Employment team. This role is for a solicitor with 1-5 years of PQE who will undertake a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work for a diverse range of clients, with a particular focus on the education sector.

What you'll do

Undertake a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work
Advise a diverse range of clients
Deliver annual programme of training, seminars and legal updates to clients and targets
Assist with business development opportunities to promote the firm's practice

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor

Broadly in the region of 1–5 years' PQE

Clear enthusiasm for employment law with previous experience of advising on employment law

High level of IT skills

Marketing and business development skills

Excellent written English for drafting purposes

Excellent presentational skills

Excellent interpersonal and team skills with ability to build good relationships with clients and colleagues

Very good time and documentation management skills

Keen attention to detail

Keen interest in the use of AI· nice to have

Innovative mindset which looks for how to do things better· nice to have
