The role

A Managing Associate role is available within the Real Estate Future Energy team, based in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or Belfast. This role is for a driven Real Estate Lawyer with at least 6 years of PQE, focusing on the burgeoning renewables sector under the leadership of Maria Connolly.

What you'll do

Deal with drafting option agreements and leases on a wide range of clean energy projects
Undertake due diligence on clean energy projects
Act in relation to the financing of clean energy projects and large-scale acquisitions/disposals
Provide support in relation to landlord and tenant work, corporate support, and public sector work
Supervise and mentor junior team members
Provide all clients with a quality service in accordance with the Firm’s procedures
Maintain and improve relations with existing clients
Spot opportunities for business development and enhancement of the current services offered
Achieve the budget and targets set by the Firm

What we're looking for

Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered in England & Wales or Northern Ireland)

At least 6 years of PQE within Real Estate

Proven experience of working with clients in the future energy sector

Proven track record in business development and maintaining strong client relationships

Experience of supervising and/or managing Associates and/or Paralegals

First class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels

Ability to confidently provide strategic advice to a variety of clients

Commitment to developing the firm’s offering locally and nationally
