The role
An outstanding Senior Associate with 5 to 7 years PQE is sought to join the Media & Entertainment group. This role is for a lawyer with strong advisory, drafting, and negotiating skills, a pragmatic and commercial approach, and a deep understanding of the music industry.
What you'll do
- Advise on recording, distribution, publishing, managing and production agreements
- Advise on live events
- Advise on merchandising
- Advise on sponsorship, endorsement and branding arrangements
- Advise on content licensing for new digital music services
- Advise on acquisition and exploitation of music rights in film, television, games and theatre
- Advise on corporate/business structuring
What we're looking for
5 to 7 years PQE
Strong advisory skills
Pragmatic and commercial manner
Strong drafting skills
Strong negotiating experience
Real understanding of the music industry and its challenges
Ability to work with other departments
Ability to take an active role in developing the practice
Experience working inhouse with relevant experience and necessary skills· nice to have
