Associate - Property Disputes

The role

The firm is seeking an Associate with 1-4 years PQE to join their Birmingham real estate dispute resolution team. This role will focus on a range of commercial portfolio and development related disputes, strategic advice for landowners and developers, and handling proceedings in all levels of Courts and Tribunals.

What you'll do

• Handle proceedings in all levels of Courts and Tribunals
• Be involved in without prejudice settlement processes including formal mediations
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and market intermediaries
• Participate in individual, team and office-based business development initiatives
• Participate in firm-wide and departmental meetings, training sessions and social events
• Delegate client work effectively to more junior fee-earners as appropriate and contribute to their development
• Contribute effectively to department and firm wide performance goals
• Ensure files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures
