Associate - Structured Finance at Simmons & Simmons

The role

Simmons & Simmons is seeking a talented Associate with 2+ years of PQE to join its Structured Finance & Derivatives practice in London or Bristol. This role focuses on advising leading financial institutions and other market participants on complex domestic and cross-border structured products, derivatives, and structured finance transactions.

What you'll do

Work on a broad range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border structured products matters
Advise leading financial institutions, asset managers and other market participants on transaction structuring, execution and related regulatory considerations
Take ownership of significant transaction workstreams
Manage day-to-day client relationships
Play a key role in the successful delivery of complex matters
Work closely with colleagues across Financial Markets, Capital Markets and Financial Regulation
Provide commercially focused advice
Support clients on transactions

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction)

2+ years' post-qualification experience with strong exposure to structured finance or structured products work gained within a leading practice

Experience working with investment banks, asset managers, financial institutions or other sophisticated financial market participants

Strong technical and transaction management skills

Ability to take ownership of matters and client relationships

Collaborative and commercially-minded

Interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice
