Legal consultant (4-10 PQE) - Corporate - London at A&O Shearman

The role

Peerpoint is seeking experienced corporate lawyers with 4-10 PQE, particularly those with expertise in M&A, private equity, venture capital, and commercial law. This role is for self-directed legal consultants seeking flexible, high-impact assignments within A&O Shearman's practice groups or directly with clients.

What you'll do

Support a Fintech with their initial launch assisting with obtaining licences, drafting shareholder agreements and commercial contracts
Support the ECM and M&A legal team within a leading investment bank
Support an investment management company with M&A transactions
Assist with M&A and ECM transactions

What we're looking for

4-10 years' top-tier post-qualification experience

Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience at a firm ranked as top tier for corporate law

Practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the UK

Right to reside and work in the UK

Recent in-house legal experience at a leading financial services institution or corporate (directly or as a secondee)· nice to have

Experience in public and private M&A, private equity, venture capital and commercial law· nice to have
