The role
Jackson McDonald is seeking a Senior Succession Lawyer with at least 5 years of post-admission experience to join their Private Clients and Taxation team. The role will involve advising high net worth private clients, business owners, and families on succession planning, trust law, probate, estate administration, and related litigation.
What you'll do
- Review client documents and assist in the preparation and provision of strategic personal and business succession advice for high net wealth family groups and business owners
- Assist individual and high net wealth clients and business owners document and implement effective personal and business succession strategies for their particular circumstances
- Assist executors in obtaining probate and attend to the administration of a variety of large or complex estates
- Assist clients in providing advice and assistance in estate litigation related matters
- Provide legal advice on complex issues of statutory interpretation relevant to estate, guardianship and trust law related issues affecting clients
What we're looking for

Excellent technical, drafting and advocacy skills
Demonstrated commerciality and client focus
Permitted to work in Australia on an unrestricted basis
