The role

This role is for a Senior Associate with at least 5 years of PQE to join Norton Rose Fulbright's leading Climate Change and Carbon Markets practice in Melbourne. The role will support the carbon practice with advisory, commercial, and transactional matters, working with Partner Elisa de Wit and engaging with both Australian and international clients.

What you'll do

Support the carbon practice with advisory, commercial and transactional matters
Engage with Australian carbon market clients
Engage with international clients and projects in the carbon space

What we're looking for

A minimum of 5 years PQE gained within a reputable Environment & Planning, Climate Change, Corporate or Finance practice

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong commercial drafting skills

Strong time management & organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously

Client facing aptitude

Genuine interest in the area of climate change law

Knowledge of climate change and carbon legislation or policy preferred, but not essential· nice to have
