The role
Allens is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate for its Banking & Finance team in Sydney/Melbourne, Australia, with 2-9 years of PQE. The role focuses on Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance transactions, including securities, structured products, securitisations, and fund finance.
What you'll do
Work on debt capital markets transactions, including the issuance of securities and structured products
Work on structured finance transactions, including securitisations, warehouse facilities and other asset-backed funding structures
Work on fund finance matters across funds management platforms, including subscription and NAV facilities
Work on derivatives transactions, including equity derivatives, commodity derivatives, credit derivatives and structured derivatives
Draft and negotiate transaction documentation, including derivatives and finance documents
Work on general banking & finance arrangements such as acquisition, leverage, property, and project finance
What we're looking for

Exposure to securities, structured transactions or funds management
The ability to support transactions effectively and manage competing priorities
Confidence working with partners, senior lawyers and clients
Experience advising clients on transactions
An interest in developing a long‑term specialism across debt capital markets, fund finance or derivatives
A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others
Lawyers trained in leading Australian, New Zealand, UK, US or other offshore firms
