Pensions Associate

The role

Slaughter and May is seeking an ambitious Pensions Associate with 3 PQE+ to join their market-leading, integrated Pensions, Employment and Incentives practice. This role is for an individual who can handle complex legal matters for trustees and sponsors of pension schemes across a broad spectrum of advisory and dispute resolution work, as well as de-risking transactions and M&A/IPO-related pensions aspects.

What you'll do

• Serve as day-to-day contact for advising sponsor and trustee clients
• Draft review and amend the legal and commercial aspects of pensions-related and pension scheme documentation
• Take responsibility for pensions aspects of transactions
• Deliver first line support to clients on matters working within a larger team of colleagues at a range of experience levels
• Manage/supervise trainees
• Take responsibility for working with other parts of the firm in advising on all these areas
• Develop the practice by promoting the firm both to existing and potential clients and by contributing to the creation of know-how including client bulletins and other client and firm-facing training events
