Employment Associate (3-4 PQE) at Harbottle & Lewis

The role

Harbottle & Lewis is seeking an Employment Associate with 3-4 years of PQE to join their London office. This role is for a dynamic individual with strong technical, interpersonal, and commercial skills to advise a diverse client base on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

What you'll do

Advise clients on a broad range of employment matters
Negotiate contracts
Handle ongoing employment issues
Manage termination of employment of senior executives
Negotiate settlements
Represent clients in Employment Tribunal claims
Advise on reorganisations of companies and their staff
Advise on TUPE and collective redundancies
Handle team moves and restrictive covenant enforcement and advice
Provide advice and support on dealing with grievances and disciplinary investigations

What we're looking for

3-4 years PQE

Strong academics

High quality training

Ambitious and keen to take on responsibility

Good technical skills

Right interpersonal skills

Genuine interest in employment work

Commercial sense

Enthusiastic approach to their work

Willingness to deal with a wide range of matters at any one time

Contentious and non-contentious experience including contested Tribunals

Experience dealing with contested grievances and disciplinary processes on behalf of employers and employees

Confidence and ability to give practical advice to clients

Ability to work in a close knit and friendly team
