The role

This is an opportunity for a Lawyer with at least 3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join the Workplace Relations, Employment & Safety (WRES) practice in Canberra. The role involves working on a variety of high-profile matters across all aspects of workplace relations for government and private sector clients.

What you'll do

Play a key part in the delivery of matters and provide exceptional service to our clients
Advise on general employment law
Advise on the employment aspects of corporate transactions
Advise on compliance and regulatory matters
Advise on discrimination
Advise on work, health and safety
Advise on whistleblowing
Advise on modern slavery
Advise on industrial relations
Advise on disputation and litigation across most Courts and Tribunals

What we're looking for

Experience in a similar position within private practice or an in-house legal role with at least 3 years PQE

Proven experience working on industrial relations, employment and/or workplace health and safety matters

Demonstrated capability to work autonomously as well as a team member to manage a robust and diverse workload

A high degree of initiative, dedication and organizational ability with a strong client and commercial focus

Strong communication skills and practical problem solving skills

A desire to develop and participate in business development initiatives

A proactive attitude towards personal development to expand skills and knowledge
