Solicitor – Banking & Finance – Securitisation/Debt Capital Markets at Mallesons

The role

A Solicitor role within the Melbourne Banking & Finance team, supporting Partners Anne-Marie Neagle and Ian Paterson. This role is for banking and finance lawyers with experience in secured finance, seeking to specialize in securitisation, derivatives, debt capital markets, and structured products.

What we're looking for

Banking & finance experience

Secured finance experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent drafting, legal analysis and problem-solving abilities

Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex legal and commercial issues

Commercial curiosity, and a drive to keep up to date with sector issues and developments

A collaborative and team-oriented approach

Ability to develop strong internal relationships and work effectively with colleagues

A positive, adaptable and self-aware approach

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving legal environment

Willingness to embrace new technologies, including AI-enabled legal tools

Hold all visas and other approvals necessary for you to work for the firm in Australia (if not an Australian citizen or permanent resident)
