Senior Trade Mark Attorney (7+PQE), London, Manchester or Leeds

The role

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking a Senior Trade Mark Attorney (7+ PQE) to join their IP practice in Leeds, London, or Manchester. This role focuses on managing and strategically developing domestic and international trade mark portfolios, advising clients on clearance, prosecution, and contentious matters.

What you'll do

• Lead the management and strategic development of domestic and international trade mark portfolios for a diverse client base
• Advise clients on trade mark clearance, registrability, filing strategies, portfolio optimisation and risk management
• Manage complex prosecution matters before the UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO, delivering commercially focused solutions aligned with client objectives
• Act on contentious trade mark matters including oppositions, cancellations, invalidity and revocation actions, domain name disputes and broader brand protection issues
• Collaborate closely with IP litigators and commercial IP specialists on strategic and business-critical matters
• Advise clients on brand enforcement strategies across digital channels, online marketplaces and emerging technologies
• Support clients on the IP aspects of commercial transactions, including licensing, franchising, collaborations, acquisitions and investments
• Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders by understanding their commercial priorities and delivering pragmatic, solution-oriented advice
• Play a visible role in business development activity, contributing to pitches, client presentations, thought leadership and market engagement initiatives
• Mentor and develop junior team members, providing supervision, coaching and technical guidance
• Contribute to the continued development of the practice through innovation, process improvement and knowledge sharing
