The role

Hudson Gavin Martin is seeking an intermediate lawyer with approximately 3-5 years of PQE to join their market-leading Tech, Media, and IP practice group in Auckland, New Zealand. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and corporate matters with a specific focus on technology, media, and intellectual property issues for a varied client base.

What you'll do

Advise on technology procurement and implementation
Advise on tech licensing and services
Advise on broadcast and communications arrangements
Advise on data privacy
Advise on biometrics
Advise on cyber-security
Advise on consumer law
Work on mergers and acquisitions
Work on capital raises
Work on employee share schemes
Work on corporate structuring
Work on shareholder arrangements
Work on joint ventures

What we're looking for

Approximately 3-5 years of PQE

Solid foundation of legal skills in a commercial and/or corporate practice

Exposure to technology, media, and IP issues

Eligible to work in NZ on an ongoing basis, without restrictions

Curiosity

Commitment to delivering quality work to clients

Ability to work through complex issues

Relationship management skills

Well-developed organisational skills

Passion for technology, media and IP· nice to have
