The role

Dentons is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with 7+ years of experience to join their Technology practice group in Auckland, New Zealand. This role focuses on technology, privacy, and commercial law, advising local, national, and international clients on a broad range of matters.

What you'll do

Advise local, national and international clients on strategic commercial contracting and advice
Advise on technology, data, consumer, intellectual property, and sourcing and supply matters
Advise clients on their development and launch of cutting edge technology
Advise clients on all aspects of doing business in an online, globally-connected world

What we're looking for

7+ years of experience in a corporate commercial environment

Experience in Technology law

Experience in Privacy and Cybersecurity law

Strong general commercial experience

Strong plain English drafting skills

Ability to get the detail right and consider issues strategically and commercially

Expertise in Franchising and Distribution· nice to have

Expertise in Commercialisation of Intellectual Property· nice to have

Expertise in Telecommunications· nice to have

Expertise in Consumer law and media· nice to have
