Senior Associate – Technology, Media and Telecommunications

The role

Buddle Findlay is seeking a Senior Associate with 8+ years of legal experience to join their market-leading Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves advising a diverse range of blue-chip clients on complex TMT matters, working alongside recognised experts such as Allan Yeoman and Keri Johansson.

What you'll do

• Advise blue-chip private and public sector organisations, technology start-ups, private equity and venture capital firms, broadcasting and media entities, and health agencies
• Work across the full spectrum of TMT, including procurement and supply, commercial contracting, digital development and licensing, privacy and cyber, media and entertainment, marketing, and content production and acquisition
• Work closely with Buddle Findlay's corporate M&A team on tech and telco sector transactions, providing specialist input on significant matters
• Take ownership of matters
• Work directly with clients
• Mentor more junior team members
• Contribute to business development initiatives
• Continue building your profile in a specialist and fast-moving area of law
