Lawyer/ Associate - Construction & Infrastructure at Thomsons

The role

Thomsons is seeking a Lawyer/Associate with 1-4 years of experience to join their Construction & Infrastructure team in Brisbane. The role involves front-end drafting and negotiation of procurement documents and contracts, as well as back-end litigation arising from construction disputes, working with an industry-leading Partner.

What you'll do

Work across front-end drafting and negotiation of construction procurement documents and building contracts
Handle back-end construction litigation resulting out of construction disputes

What we're looking for

1-4 years' PAE working across construction law matters or in a well-regarded litigation practice

Strong drafting skills and attention to detail

Practical and client focused problem solving and research skills

Sound technical legal ability and a genuine interest in working in the construction and infrastructure sector

A professional, commercially-astute and proactive approach to matter management

Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously

Conscientious and client-focused, and possess strong interpersonal skills
