Senior Associate, Real Estate

The role

Lander & Rogers is seeking a Senior Associate, Real Estate with 6+ years of PQE for their Melbourne office. This role focuses on complex, high-value real estate transactions and projects for major clients, offering significant responsibility and career development opportunities within a leading national practice group.

What you'll do

• Take primary responsibility for end to end file management of real estate transactional matters with senior practitioners, including capital transactions, property and project development, project due diligence, complex agreement for lease and/or lease transactions, the real estate aspects of major projects, lease transactions involving leases of commercial offices and retail premises, and acting on large portfolios including asset management work associated with national lease portfolios
• Work directly with clients and develop trusted commercial relationships
• Use appropriate internal technological solutions, such as document automation software, online data rooms, status reporting software and approved artificial intelligence platforms
• Work with lawyers from the construction and environment and planning sub-teams within the Real Estate & Projects group to support those teams with the real estate aspects of their matters
• Be trusted with graduates and seasonal clerks throughout their rotations
• Develop your market profile and business development including building on existing client relationships and developing personal business development plan
• Take ownership of and support Partners with pitches, tenders, thought leadership and client presentations
• Assist senior practitioners to prepare and present internal continuing legal education presentations
