Associate (2-7PQE) - Reinsurance / Coverage (Property & Energy)

The role

Clyde & Co is seeking an Associate lawyer with 2-7 years of PQE to join their Singapore office. This role focuses on Reinsurance and Coverage matters within the Property & Energy practice area, advising global insurers and reinsurers on complex policy coverage issues and claims.

What you'll do

• Advise clients on policy coverage issues and quantum across various types of insurance, from mid-size losses to large and complex claims
• Provide coverage advice on onshore and offshore renewable and other energy projects and claims
• Provide coverage advice on onshore engineering and construction claims
• Advise and represent multinational corporations, insurance and reinsurance companies in respect of Business Interruption and DSU claims
• Draft and review policy wordings and provide advice on areas of legal risk for clients
• Assist the Partner in managing and building client relationships, including assisting with business development activities for key existing clients and new clients
• Mentor and assist with providing training to junior associates in the team
