Associate/ Senior Associate - Corporate at Thomsons

The role

Thomsons is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with 4-7 years of M&A experience to join their Corporate team in Brisbane. This role is for a client-focused practitioner who can provide sound legal advice and solutions to corporate clients.

What you'll do

Provide sound, pragmatic and innovative legal advice to the firm's corporate clients

What we're looking for

4-7 years PAE in M&A and Corporate Advisory / Mergers & Acquisitions

Experience gained in mid to top-tier firms

Solid experience with legal due diligence including drafting due diligence reports

Experience with reviewing and drafting contracts

Willingness to have a hands-on approach as a client-focused practitioner

Great relationship-building and communication skills

Willingness and ability to understand clients' commercial needs and objectives and provide solutions

Ability to provide sound, pragmatic and innovative legal advice

Good contract drafting skills

Legal analysis and problem solving skills

Excellent attention to detail

Strong analytical skills

Strong academics

Mid-market focus in Corporate Advisory / Mergers & Acquisitions preferably· nice to have
