The role

Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with M&A experience to join their Corporate Transactions team in Glasgow. This role will focus on private M&A across various sectors and geographies, including tech, private equity, financial services, and infrastructure.

What we're looking for

Associate with post qualification corporate transactional experience across a wide range of matters

Experience of drafting and negotiating the key transaction documents on matters including SPAs, disclosure letters and equity documents (including shareholder agreements/ JV agreements)

Experience of leading transactions and/or key transaction document workstreams directly with clients

Experience of co-ordinating multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional teams

Well developed verbal and written communication skills

Innovative drafting skills

Excellent attention to detail

Confidence and effectiveness in negotiations with clients and counterparties

Effectiveness in communicating with clients to understand their needs and how best to meet them

Ability to assist clients in arriving at practical and cost-effective solutions

Ability to build and maintain a network of business contacts, both internally and externally

Enthusiastic team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels
