The role

Burges Salmon is seeking a Corporate M&A Senior Associate with 6+ years of experience to join its M&A practice in Bristol. This role involves advising clients on a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, working alongside experienced partners and contributing to a leading team.

What we're looking for

6+ years of relevant experience

Broad experience of advising on private and/or public company mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and/or private equity transactions

Qualified as a lawyer with the SRA or Law Society of Scotland

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to take ownership and lead on matters and contribute as part of a collaborative team

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex matters clearly to clients

Experience of building strong relationships with clients and the wider corporate finance community

Ability to demonstrate good matter and financial management skills

Strong commerciality and excellent client communication skills

Experience of and interest in managing junior lawyers, including delegating work, providing guidance and contributing to their development
