Senior/Managing Associate - Corporate Tax at TLT

The role

TLT is seeking a Senior/Managing Associate with 5+ years of PQE to join its Corporate Tax & Incentives team in Manchester, Glasgow, or Edinburgh. The role involves advising UK and international clients on complex transactions and tax structuring, working alongside partners Ben Watson, Mark Braude, Emma Bradley, and Lizzie Stone.

What you'll do

Work closely with the Partners in the team on advisory and transactional work while managing your own caseload
Work effectively with our colleagues in the Corporate and Real Estate teams on a range of transactional work
Lead Incentives projects (with appropriate supervision from Partners) and handle client relationships (both internally and externally)
Actively contribute to and drive business development opportunities
Supervise and support newly qualified Associates and Trainees within the team

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered)

5+ years' PQE

Experience advising on a range of UK tax matters, including corporation tax, income tax, VAT and stamp duty land tax

An ability to give succinct legal and tax advice in an efficient manner whilst understanding and anticipating the commercial needs and objectives of the client

A forward thinker, able to demonstrate first class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels

A proven track record in business development and maintaining strong client relationships

Able to develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses and objectives, acting in the best interests of both the firm and the client

Able to contribute to our collaborative culture, with an ambition to assist in the development of junior team members

Experience in both Corporate Tax and Incentives is ideal, but candidates with experience in just one area will also be considered
