The role
Jackson McDonald is seeking a Junior Insurance Lawyer with 1-4 years of PQE to join their Perth-based Insurance Practice. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills and gain exposure to a broad range of insurance matters in a supportive team environment.
What you'll do
- Work alongside Alex Lustig, Fiona Dempster and Erica Thuijs on a broad range of insurance matters
- Develop your technical skills, judgment and client focused services
- Learn from experienced insurance lawyers while developing your own style and confidence
- Be exposed to workers compensation, public liability and motor vehicle claims from the perspective of the defendant
- Undertake advisory work and litigation
- Assist on matters from early advice through to resolution
- Support senior lawyers through to conciliation and arbitration or trial
What we're looking for

Confidence communicating with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders as your experience grows
Comfort using technology and practice management systems to work efficiently and accurately
A collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute positively to a close team
Curiosity, initiative and the confidence to ask questions, take feedback and keep improving
Pride in producing accurate, thoughtful work and building trusted professional relationships

Permitted to work in Australia on an unrestricted basis
