The role
Gadens is seeking a Senior Associate for their Corporate team in Melbourne, Australia. This role is for an experienced lawyer with 5+ years of PQE, focusing on M&A and equity capital markets transactions.
What you'll do
- Work on a broad range of matters encompassing public M&A (takeovers and schemes of arrangement)
- Work on a broad range of matters encompassing equity capital markets (IPOs and other capital raisings)
- Work on a broad range of matters encompassing private M&A
- Work on a broad range of matters encompassing compliance with the ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Act
- Work on a broad range of matters encompassing corporate governance
- Interact with clients directly
- Negotiate a wide range of complex deals
What we're looking for
At least 5 years’ experience in a well-regarded corporate practice
Involvement across private and public M&A and equity capital markets transactions and other corporate advisory work
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to produce high-quality work product
Genuine interest in building and maintaining lasting client relationships
Genuine interest in mentoring the junior members of the team
Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities and workstreams
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal)
