The role

This is a full-time, hybrid role for an experienced Real Estate Lawyer with 5+ years of PQE, joining Ashurst Perkins Coie's Reach Legal Consultancy platform. The role focuses on providing legal advice and transactional support within the Real Estate practice area in Melbourne, Australia.

What you'll do

Advise on a broad range of property law matters
Draft, review and negotiate leases, licences, easements and other property-related agreements
Advise on complex property transactions and land use matters
Support property development projects, including site feasibility assessments, title reviews and land acquisition matters
Provide legal advice on leasing and licensing arrangements involving public assets and third-party occupiers
Provide strategic and practical legal advice on property disputes, land access issues and related regulatory matters
Manage stakeholders
Supervise, mentor and provide technical guidance to junior lawyers and team members
Manage multiple matters simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations

What we're looking for

5 years of experience

Demonstrated experience advising on a broad range of property law matters

Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, licences, easements and other property-related agreements

Proven ability to advise on complex property transactions and land use matters

Experience supporting property development projects

Strong understanding of land title issues

Experience providing legal advice on leasing and licensing arrangements involving public assets

Familiarity with compulsory acquisition processes, native title matters and Aboriginal cultural heritage considerations

Ability to provide strategic and practical legal advice on property disputes, land access issues and related regulatory matters

Strong stakeholder management skills

Ability to supervise, mentor and provide technical guidance to junior lawyers and team members

Experience managing multiple matters simultaneously

Strong technical property law capability combined with practical commercial judgement

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills

Confident stakeholder manager capable of building trusted relationships

Collaborative and supportive leadership style

Adaptable and resilient with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and evolving project environment

Strong attention to detail

Current Australian practising certificate
